Tropocalypse Cay
Native Summary[edit]
If you wash up on Tropocalypse Cay, congratulations—you've survived, but now the real test begins. Built from shipwreck scraps and sheer stubbornness, this is a town where the locals drink rainwater from hollowed coconuts and use shark teeth as currency. No one here asks how you got here—only if you can hold your own. The fish are tough, the waves are brutal, and if you complain about either, expect nothing but a blank stare and a nod toward the open ocean.
SPOILER: For the willing, a behind-the-shadows image of Tropocalypse Cay is available here.

How to play[edit]
In order to unlock any fish beyond the pole level 0 or pole level 1 fish, you must first catch the Zzzloth Fish. This usually involves activating a Night Tiki resource or going Night Fishing. Be sure to deactivate the resource afterwards if you're not going for a streak.
The Tropication islands cycle among three types of weather: Cloudy, Rainy, or Sunny. The weather state will remain for the 24 hours of FVT time, and then change to another type. During this, certain fish will not be catchable (listed as Extinct) unless you use a Tiki resource. For example, the Raypalm Fish is only available to catch during the Sunny day or using a Sun Tiki. Check the map page to see the current and upcoming weather.
Certain task fish are unlocked in sequence upon the first catch of the previous fish, so: Shipwreck Stu I Fish -> Zzzloth Fish -> Raypalm Fish -> Shipwreck Stu II Fish -> Shipwreck Stu III Fish -> Shipwreck Stu IV Fish.
Moving on[edit]
Catch the Shipwreck Stu IV Fish which is a level 30 pole fish.
That should unlock the next area Tropico Cove.
