Native Summary[edit]
The journey to Doom Island will certainly be full of struggles and surprises for wranglers! Once safe on shore, wranglers will receive their first introduction to the various Farovian & Roperian cross-breeds that have formed over the Ten Year Storm. Only time will tell whether one is doomed on Doom Island!
SPOILER: For the willing, a behind-the-shadows image of Doom Island is available here.
Accessing Doom Island[edit]
- Reaching Doom Island requires commencing the steps to begin solving the mystery of the storm. There are a few pre-requisites before the storm becomes accessible.
Pre-Requisites[edit]
- Located in the Geminisles, ensure Poseidon's Ring is unlocked.
- Using a level 20 Alcatraz, catch a Blue Whale Fish.
- Upon catching the Blue Whale, a secluded inlet to Misty Cliffs will become accessible, unlocking it.
Unlock Procedure[edit]
- Travel to Misty Cliffs.
- Shuttle to Roperia to be greeted with Sailor Stu, stranded on some rocks from the storm's effects.
- Once back in Farovia, follow the story prompts to look for Stu (will take 24 hours; fishing normally anywhere else is possible).
- Upon reaching Stu, follow further story prompts, including gathering the supplies from Earl's and the frozen food packs from BetsyLou.
- When ready (check notes below), commence the 1-hour long journey to Doom Island.
Notes[edit]
- Travelling to Doom Island WILL ship-wreck the Alcatraz; wranglers are advised to only do so when ready to spend 3 days at Doom Island.
- Upon completing the voyage, the Alcatraz will be ship-wrecked and travel will be inaccessible due to the wrangler washing up on the shores of Doom Island. Upon waking up, they'll meet Mousso, the lone, eccentric resident of Doom Island. The story prompts with him will enable them to get back on their feet again while he goes out to sea to recover their Alcatraz.
Gameplay[edit]
Mousso's Beach Hut[edit]
- Due to Doom Island being remote and isolated, regular stores and supplies are unavailable. Mousso's Beach Hut is the only place where supplies can be bought, made from local materials. Any and all purchases (that are not poles or chum) on this page require going to Mousso's Hut.
Mousso's Tasks[edit]
- Re-acquiring the Alcatraz and other lost items, along with progressing the story and restoration of travel to other areas will require Wranglers to complete Mousso's Tasks.
Fresh Water[edit]
- Due to heavy salinzation in the open waters of and surrounding the storm, each cast in Doom Island requires a drink of Fresh Water. Available for purchase at Mousso's Beach Hut, the water bag allows a Wrangler to hold up to 100 drinks at a time or 200 if they have bought the third addon for their current pole.
Notes[edit]
- Functionally, the Beach Hut remains similar to any other store in Farovia and Roperia, But for lore purposes (and even functionally for various reasons), the Beach Hut is the only place for most of the necessities. Poles and chum remain available using their specific buttons, but for everything else, all is available from Mousso, working similar to Earl's Supply Stores in Waterport and Magma Reef.
- Throughout the rest of the Ten-Year Storm (meaning Stormy Straight and the Eye of the Storm, supplies are not available, meaning Wranglers need to travel back to Mousso's Beach Hut in Doom Island to re-fill their fresh water and buy anything else, along with completion of any tasks.
- Pole quests remain normal, requiring delivering them back to BetsyLou's restaurant in Waterport, the FAST Hangar in Fishertonville or the Chateau D'Amour in Red Love Bay. Those have nothing to do with Mousso's Beach Hut and progress normally as with any other area.

Moving on[edit]
- Wading further into the storm requires going through the Stormy Straight.
- Unlock procedure:
- Get at least one pole to level 25.
- Complete Mousso's Second Task.
- Upon completion, head back to the Mousso's Beach Hut to receive the reward in the form of a heavy-duty anchor.
- The anchor will enable tying the Alcatraz to the Stormy Straight buoy, enabling fishing in the much rougher waters there.
