Pneumatic Spear Quests[edit]

Below is a list of the quests available for the Pneumatic Spear. Before starting on these quests, it is advised to have the Scuba Fishing License since you will need it in order to catch some of the quest fish

Samurai Shake[edit]

Quest38.gif

(Difficulty: 1/10)
A delicious and creamy treat after a hard day of fishing.
Pole Req: Level 15 Pneumatic Spear

Quest specific tips: The Siberian Tiger Shark Fish is the hardest fish in this quest, the other two have attractants available. Since the Antifreeze protein has a 50% chance of attracting the Red Diablo Shark Fish, it can be activated first until these fish are all caught. You will most likely catch some Samurai Fish while doing it, and then can either (expensive) use Dojo Mojo to attract the remaining Samurai and get the RLC boost work towards catching the Siberian Tiger Sharks using RLC Chum, OR you can just finish the quest using using Fish Guts and use slightly more casts but save on the resources and RLC.

Also note that there are three useful repellents that can be used: Red Blanket repels the Fairly Prolific Red Diablo Shark Fish, Pistol Punch repels the Fairly Prolific Samurai Fish and Chili Sauce repels the Numerous Suave Fish. (Fairly Prolific is a larger population than Numerous - FAQ). Since you can use two repellents at the same time, the best combination to get the rarer fish will be Pistol Punch + Red Blanket. This will be important especially in the later quests. Also note that using this repellent combo throughout all the quests may become very expensive, and it does not guarantee the catches, so it may be cheaper to just use some repellents, or none of them according to your budget.

This quest can be very fast if you catch the Siberian Tiger Sharks fast, if unlucky (or using a higher level pole with smaller chances of catching these small fish) it may take longer. Estimated casts: 30 - 200.
Catch Req's: 7 Samurai Fish, 7 Red Diablo Shark Fish, 4 Siberian Tiger Shark Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Wrangler O's[edit]

Quest39.gif

(Difficulty: 3/10)
Start the morning with a deliciously nutritious bowl of cereal.
Pole Req: Level 25 Pneumatic Spear
Unlocks: Laserlight

Quest specific tips: Start this quest by concentrating on the Necktie Eel Fish and use either Fish Guts or RLC. You can use the repellent combination of Pistol Punch + Red Blanket mentioned in the first quest to make your odds very high for catching him, and you will catch the occasional Suave Fish at the same time. After this, if you are using RLC you can go ahead and finish both the Suave Fish and Speckled Hate Fish which can be attracted using Hair Gel and Vial of Bile, and after that continue with RLC and the repellent combo. Without RLC, it is better to save the attractants until all the Sting Ray Fish are caught first. This quest can take 100-200 casts depending on resources.
Catch Req's: 7 Necktie Eel Fish, 6 Suave Fish, 6 Speckled Hate Fish, 2 Sting Ray Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Calamari Delight[edit]

Quest40.gif

(Difficulty: 5/10)
Chopped up squid sautéed in a tomato garlic sauce.
Pole Req: Level 35 Pneumatic Spear
Unlocks: Canisters of Love

Quest specific tips: This quests features the Siberian Tiger Shark Fish again, which may end up as the bottleneck fish. If using RLC, it may be a good idea to use attractants from the start and use Hair Gel to get the Suave Fish, so the RLC boost will count towards the Siberian Tiger Sharks. The Mammoth Squid Fish is even less common, so there's a good chance it'll be your last fish. You can use the repellent combinations mentioned in the first quest, like for example Pistol Punch + Red Blanket to make your odds higher. If, after fishing the Siberian Tiger Sharks and the Mammoth Squid Fish, there are still Peccant Fish left, they can be finished quickly with Arsenic. This quest may take about 150-250 casts.
Catch Req's: 8 Suave Fish, 7 Siberian Tiger Shark Fish, 6 Peccant Fish, 3 Mammoth Squid Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Clamoodles[edit]

Quest41.gif

(Difficulty: 6/10)
Creamy clam sauce mixed with linguine cooked al dente.
Pole Req: Level 45 Pneumatic Spear
Unlocks: Spears of Doom

Quest specific tips: If not using attractants, this quest has either the Spotted Eagle Ray Fish or Speckled Hate Fish as bottlenecks. The Necktie Eel Fish are very common, so catching them will not be a problem. If time is of essence, you can use the repellent combos discussed in the first quest. If using RLC, it is best to use the Vial of Bile attractants to quickly finish the Speckled Hate Fish, after which the RLC boost will be useful for catching the Rays.

Alternatively, if not using resources and RLC, you can cast with regular Fish Guts Chum or Cayenne Chum. If using Fish Guts, the Eagle Rays will likely be the last catch. If using Cayenne, the Speckled Hate Fish may be the last catch. This quest should take about 150-250 casts.
Catch Req's: 9 Necktie Eel Fish, 8 Speckled Hate Fish, 5 Sting Ray Fish, 5 Spotted Eagle Ray Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

King Crab Legs[edit]

Quest42.gif

(Difficulty: 8/10)
What was once a peasants dish is now a majestic wranglers dish. The perfectly steamed King Crab Legs will melt in your mouth.
Pole Req: Level 55 Pneumatic Spear

Rewards: 1 Liquid Gold
Quest specific tips: This quest is very hard, possibly harder than the last quest for this pole if one is unlucky with the rare fishes. All the Lantern Fish will probably be finished before barely making a dent to the other three fish: The Squid Vicious Fish should visit you once every 50-200 casts, while the Red Lobsta Fish and King Crab Fish may take 500-1000 casts each to get if using normal chum. The good part is that since the Squid Vicious Fish prefers the Nail Goo Chum, it will give a good attraction rate for catching him unless the RLC boost rises above 2x. Just keep in mind that using the Nail Goo Chum may result in missing the cast as well, so RLC will be a good choice too.

Another possible strategy for getting Squid Vicious Fish is to hold off on purchasing the final two augments for this pole until you have caught several. This prevents Peanut Jelly Fish from being caught and increases the chances of catching Squid Vicious Fish.

Harnessing Liquid Gold may be the best option for catching some of these fish when getting near the end, and any of the three rare fishes could end up being the quest bottleneck. This quest can take 1000-3000 casts.
Catch Req's: 18 Lantern Fish, 6 Squid Vicious Fish, 2 Red Lobsta Fish, 1 King Crab Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Peanut Jelly Cookies[edit]

Quest43.gif

(Difficulty: 10/10)
Wranglers must work hard for these delicious cookies. They are both crunchy and juicy, mmm mmm!
Pole Req: Level 65 Pneumatic Spear

Rewards: 2 Liquid Gold first time, 1 Liquid Gold afterwards
Quest specific tips: This quest follows the pattern of other final quests per pole, with the Fiddler Crab Fish being the bottleneck. The Octo Fish is a much easier catch than the T850 Fish, so it will most likely get caught while catching the other fish. If getting near the end with just 1-2 Fiddler Crab Fish left and the T850 Fish still missing as well, it may be a good time to start using Liquid Gold for harnessing the T850 Fish since it may require 100-200 casts even harnessing, if unlucky. This quest should take 1000-1500 casts.

Those with access to the stealth area Culpriana will find it much easier to fish for the Numerous populated Peanut Jellies and Fiddler Crabs, but will then have to return to Sans Culpra and then can use Lucky bonus / Quest Boosts / Liquid Golds for the Octo and T850.
Catch Req's: 16 Peanut Jelly Fish, 10 Fiddler Crab Fish, 1 Octo Fish, 1 T850 Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Sans Culpra[edit]

SUPER BONUS QUEST
(Difficulty: 20/10)
The Super Bonus Quest of Sans Culpra requires Farovian Wranglers to catch an unholy number of the rarest fish in town! Not for beginners.

Rewards: 80 FLC, 3 Liquid Gold, 30 Red Sharks

Catch Req's: 120 Peccant Fish, 50 Fiddler Crab Fish, 36 Blackhawk Ray Fish, 9 Red Lobsta Fish* x1.5 when done with friend

Quest specific tips: The Peccant and the Blackhawk Ray fish are both fairly common and should be caught relatively easily. If you want to speed up your progress, you can choose to use Arsenic to attract the Peccant fish. The Fiddler Crab will likely take longer to catch than the Peccant and the Rays, but with some patience, they can be caught without too much trouble. The Red Lobsta will be very difficult to catch and the use of RLC/FLC is recommended. The use of Pistol punch, red blanket, chili sauce, and sig's 57th can all help to repel some of the more prolific fish; however, don't use too many of them at the same time as they won't be as effective if you do. This quest can take up to 12,000+ casts. *Even with this strategy, the Red Lobstas will still be difficult to catch and you may want to use Liquid Gold if you have some to spare.

Starting Requirements: 170,000 Gold, 17 Munchies, and 10 Fuel Drums
