Below is a list of the quests available for the Oak Branch. Before starting on these quests, it is advised to have learned the skill of The Art of Night Fishing and Timing.

Oak Branch Quests[edit]

It is suggested you only complete the first two Oak Branch quests and hold off on the remainder until you've unlocked other areas in the game like Icelantica. After leveling the poles and starting some of the first few quests over there, should you return to work on the later WaterPort quests. If you cast less than 30 times per day, any quest above the second could take a month or longer to complete. Even with tournament fishing to level poles, if you don't keep up to date with the quests, you'll be blocked from new addons for those poles.

As with all quests completed in Waterport, using repellants will slightly increase your chances of catching the quest fish.  Boo Juice along with K9 Pheromone will eliminate the Miny Fish and Catty Fish when in use. Antifreeze Potion will work too, but is better saved for Fishertonville where the Cubey exists but the other 2 prior fish do not.

Cajun Catfish[edit]

Quest1.gif

(Difficulty: 1/10)
Betsylou's famous cajun surprise! Lightly fried catty with buttered potato side dishes.
Pole Req: Level 1 Oak Branch
Unlocks: Steel Reel

Quest specific tips: Start with Loaf Chum, and use it until all the Loafy Fish are caught. Change to Generic Chum to catch any remaining Catty. If there are still some Mime Fish left, using Antifreeze Proteins in Waterport will improve your odds of attracting a Mime Fish - or you can just cast with Fish Guts Chum or Steak Chum until you catch them. An alternative strategy would be to first travel to Sans Culpra and use Generic to catch the Catty Fish, move to Fishertonville to catch the Loafy fish with Loaf, and move to Waterport to catch any remaining Mimes with Fish Guts. In either case, this quest should require less than 100 casts.
Catch Req's: 9 Catty Fish, 6 Loafy Fish, 3 Mime Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Miny Medley[edit]

Quest2.gif

(Difficulty: 4/10)
Waterport's Miny Fish topped with an oak cream sauce.
Pole Req: Level 11 Oak Branch
Unlocks: Steel Reinforcements

Quest specific tips: Note: These tips have been updated on Dec 2014, as none of the quest fish longer have a preferred chum. Fish regularly for the Miny & Miss Miny in Waterport, hopefully your able to catch 1-2 Sea Tortoise or both of the last two fish before finishing them. If you unlocked Sans Culpra, you can also finish off any Minys left on the surface there (as only 3 fish exist). You can use K9 Pheromone and/or Antifreeze Protein for the whole quest but preferably after you finish either of the Minys as that's 35 shells per cast. Make sure you don't use any Boo Juice until after the first two fish types are caught. You can use Dojo Mojo to attract the Ninja Fish immediately or at the end if it's still not caught. If you don't have this resorce and no means to exhange for them, it's better to work on a different quest until you find it, something to trade for shells, or wait to get some attractants in a Chest.
Catch Req's: 18 Miny Fish, 10 Miss Miny Fish, 2 Sea Tortoise Fish, 1 Ninja Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Toothpick Platter[edit]

Quest3.gif

(Difficulty: 8/10)
Assortment of the finest Waterport specialties, served on one dish.
Pole Req: Level 50 Oak Branch
Unlocks: Rotisserie Chicken

Quest specific tips: It may be beneficial to not add-on to your pole when starting this quest - this adds new fish, which some believe reduces the odds of catching the fish required in this quest. Stay in WaterPort for the whole quest since none of the quest fish are in Fishertonville. Start this quest using Steak Chum until you get ALL the Vampire Fish. This may take up to 250-300 casts. Then, at this point you can start adding-on to your pole, and use your best chum: Red Love Chum, Fish Guts Chum or Steak Chum, and fish until you have caught all the Tortoise and Twigs. To finish the remaining Ninjas - use the resources##Dojo Mojo Ninja attractant and your best chum.
Catch Req's: 2 Twig Fish, 5 Ninja Fish, 10 Vampire Fish, 9 Sea Tortoise Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Poison Acorn Brownie[edit]

Quest4.gif

(Difficulty: 10/10)
An oozing chocolate brownie filled with acorn nuts.
Pole Req: Level 70 Oak Branch

Rewards: 2 Liquid Gold first time, 1 Liquid Gold afterwards
Quest specific tips: Try using Fish Guts, the preferred chum for the Woodpecker (and likely quest "bottleneck" fish). Love chum also gives a 25% benefit for catching "top 4" fish and is the preferred chum for the Poison Oak. Liquid Gold can be harnessed to catch the remaining Poison Oak or Woodpecker. Using repellents such as Boo Juice, K9 Pheromone and Antifreeze Protein (AP) will block out 2-3 of Fairly Prolific fishes and let you catch the rarer fishes easier. This method may be costly in the long run, and won't guarantee quick success (Note: you can only use two at any time). Thus, it may be advisable to only use some, or no resources at all, according to your budget. Boo juice is best choice, blocking two fish at a cost of 10 shells. (K9 cost 15 shells, 5 cheaper than AP. AP should probably be saved for the Cubies in Fishertonville.)
Catch Req's: 25 Acorn Sea Slug Fish, 15 Blossom Fish, 10 Woodpecker Fish, 1 Poison Oak Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

FW Trivia Lore - This quest used to be called "Walnut Delight" (Difficulty: 10/10) Description: The desert dish for the oak branch quests is the historic walnut delight.

Multi-pole quests[edit]

SBQ1 - Waterport[edit]

SUPER BONUS QUEST!

Blank.gif

(Difficulty: 20/10)
The Super Bonus Quest of Waterport requires Farovian Wranglers to catch an unholy number of the rarest fish in town! Not for beginners.
Pole Req: Level 80 Broken Standard , Level 80 Oak Branch , Level 80 Fancy Rifle-pole
Rewards: 70 Free Love Chum (first time only), 2 Liquid Gold, 5 Mystery Tackle Boxes
Quest specific tips: In order to start this quest, you must have completed the quest sets for the Oak Branch, Broken Standard and the Fancy Rifle-pole. This quest is VERY hard, and not recommended for the faint of heart. To make best use of the quest bonus, start with the Oak Branch until you catch all the Blossoms, then switch to the Broken Standard for the Mechanics using Fish Guts or Love chum, then switch to the Fancy Rifle Pole tp finish off the Sniper and Marshalls. If shells aren't a issue, keep running Boo Juice with Anti-freeze Potion. If it's tight, just use some Boo Juice & some K9 waiting until you have a maximum Quest boost first. This quest can take up to 22,000+ casts.

Another option is to unlock WaterPier and progress through the different stealth poles in that same order. You will still have to switch over and complete the related stealth quest if you are still needing to unlock the next stealth pole or area.
Starting Requirements: 50,000 Gold, 15 Boo Juice, and 5 Dojo Mojo
Special Quests require various resources to start because BetsyLou's new boyfriend on the side is an aspiring wrangler and needs some help getting started with gold and a variety of other delightful resources!
Catch Req's: 95 Blossom Fish, 42 Mechanic Fish, 27 Sniper Fish, 8 Marshall Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Camo Branch quests[edit]

Secret Brownies[edit]

SECRET QUEST!

Blank.gif

(Difficulty: 10/10)
It's not on the 'menu', but Betsy will make it if you ask for it.
Pole Req: Level N/A Camo Branch

Rewards: Auto-Fish for 12 hrs
Quest specific tips: In order to start this quest, you must have unlocked the secrecy skill of the Oak Branch, and then you can fish in WaterPier. The Kriller Fish requires a stealth level of 25, so it's probably not worth starting until your stealth level is at least 20 for the Asian Carp Fish. Populations for Kriller are "Rare".
Catch Req's: 10 Poison Oak Fish, 20 Un-bottled Fish, 8 Sal Mon Fish, 6 Cod-ly Fish, 3 Asian Carp Fish, 1 Kriller Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Starting Requirements: 100,000 Gold
Req Task: After learning the Secret Secrecy Skill from Earl pH.d, he gave me the Oak Branch stealth modification and directions to a secret spot behind WaterPort called 'WaterPier'.
