Native Summary[edit]
A core element to actually fish, the world of Faropea has a lot of fish available throughout. Wranglers will need to familiarize themselves with not just the fishes themselves but also their populations as varying by location (and even the regions of Farovia and Roperia)[1] so that they're able to catch the fish they need and progress appropriately.
Fundamentals[edit]
- 2025, July: As of this point, there exist currently 1998 total fish to be caught in-game.
- At any given time, Wranglers can see the total number of fish in-game and the total of how many one has caught by going to the
All of the Fish[2] option. The page will list all the fish yet to be caught by the wrangler. To see the total list and number amount of each caught, wranglers can go to My Profile and, on the right side in the Overall Catch Totals section, click on the View All of my Catches?.
Notes[edit]
- A fish may be caught repeatedly in consecutive casts, referred to as Catching Streaks.
- Rarely, a wrangler may catch a very rare Trophy Fish. These fish weigh considerably more than the standard catches of that type and, as such, are worth significantly more gold and points than the normal catches.
Population Categories[edit]
- Each location has a certain population of each kind of fish. The population never varies as follows:
- A fish classed as, for example, Numerous or Almost Extinct in WaterPort will forever remain in that population category in WaterPort.
- A fish classed as, for example, Numerous or Almost Extinct in WaterPort may be classed differently in Fishertonville.
- Fish populations are colour-coded according to the key below.
- Populations with a ✓ qualify as Great Catches, whereas populations with a ✗ do NOT qualify.
| Populations | Non-Existent (N/E) | Possibly Extinct (PE) | Almost Extinct (AE) | Near Extinction (NE) | Critically Endangered (CE) | Endangered (E) | Threatened (T) | Extremely Rare (ER) | Very Rare (VR) | Rare (R) | Average (A) | Numerous (N) | Fairly Prolific (FP) | Overflowing (O) |

Roperian Fish[edit]
Other Fish[edit]
Multi-Pole Fish[edit]
- Multi-Pole Fish are special fish that require multiple, fully levelled and upgraded poles along with Liquid Gold in order to catch. Currently, wranglers are only able to catch ONE of any multi-pole fish.
Open-Seas Fish[edit]
- Covered under a general category of Open Seas Fish, they are available in two distinct types: “Open-Seas” and “Shuttle” Fish, that require wranglers to travel somewhere in order to find them. Open-Seas Fish require the Trolling Net activated to be able to make the catch whereas “Shuttle” Fish are obtained when shuttling between Farovia and Roperia.
Mythical Night Fish[edit]
- Mythical Night Fish are special fish that can only be caught on Night Fishing trips. Each fish is rumoured to have been spotted in a single location and Night Fishing groups must spend time analyzing each fish before they have a chance at catching one.
Tournament Sharks[edit]
- Tournament Sharks, as is self-explanatory, can only be caught during tournament casts. There are currently 2 Tournament Sharks in-game (one each for Farovia and Roperia).

One-Day Fish[edit]
- “One-Day” Fish (Limited-Time Fish) are special fish that are only available during a specified time period, limited by their availability. Once the specified period ends, the Limited-Time fish can only be caught by harnessing the power of Liquid Gold at WaterPort.
Notes[edit]
- June 2018: The
All of the Fish[2] page was revised and these fish are shown towards the bottom of the list.
- Prior to that page being revised, the Rare Prize Fish were not included in the game's total catches, leading to the game reflecting a wrangler being able to have more than 100% of the total fish caught (ie: 100.78%).
- The Other Fish are available in differing categories on the
All of the Fish[2] page.
- Multi-Pole Fish, due to being specific to their respective locations, will show up under their respective locations; for example, the Serpentine Fish multi-pole fish will show up under its habitat, the Krakken Rocks.
- The Open-Seas Fish, Mythical Night Fish, Tournament Sharks, Rare Prize Fish and One-Day Fish will show up under the Others category.
