- The Blue Caldera Fish List has an internal fish ID #50.
- Due to residing in the weak spots on the ocean floor (as stated in the description) and the inherent instability of the region being a requisite to unlock Magma Reef, the Blue Caldera Fish List is a TASK FISH (even though it is not listed on the fish page itself).
- Upon catching one of this fish, the Blue Crescent Volcano will shake violently, due to the weak spots being disturbed from the fishing.
- Catching another one of this fish will lead to further de-stabilization, causing a monstrous explosion, violently erupting the volcano and 'creating' Magma Reef out of itself.
- With this, fishing in Magma Reef will become possible using special equipment crafted by Earl at his Lava Shack.
- The fish, being a TASK FISH, can only be caught in Blue Crescent for the purposes of unlocking Magma Reef. Once the Reef is unlocked, wranglers have reported no further sightings of this fish in Blue Crescent to date.
- Catching this fish requires at least 600,000 Farovian Points, upon which the fish may be lured away from the volcano to unlock Magma Reef.
- While the fish page lists it being catchable using a level 1 Sonar Pole, other verbiage expresses a requirement of the pole being at least level 15+.
