Extendarod Quests

Below is a list of the quests available for the Extendarod. The quest objectives are mainly in aggregate fish weights instead of by quantity. As you catch the fish, the report may show some high numbers such as "86753 Quest Catches left" representing approximately how much weight of fish in oz. you still need to catch.

(Difficulty: 4/10)
To gain the best taste of Melody Beach, we've put together a dish packed full of flavour, made with the tastiest fish in the area!
Pole Req: Level 20+ Extendarod

Rewards: Unlocks Storyline
Quest specific tips: The maximum number of fish required IF only catching all minimum weight fish is; 47 Octomaids, 31 Fanged Camo, 22 Roller Rays, and 6 Siren's. But should be less as will likely catch fish above the min weight. All of these fish are only found in Rainbow Rising. Note that the Siren Crab Fish requires a level 29 pole, so unless you don't mind a long delay before finishing, you will want to get your pole close to that level first. Use Mullet Chum as preferred chum for the Critically Endangered Siren Crab Fish and the Extremely Rare Roller Ray. The first two prefer Sardine Chum

Venus Flower Soup

(Difficulty: 5/10)
The silky skin of the grass eels allow you to slurp these puppies down whole, topped with flower hat jellies oozing with the best natural vitamins you can get, this is one soup you wouldn't want to miss out on!

Rewards: Unlocks Storyline
Quest specific tips: This can be started in Rainbow Rising or Rainbow Rubble by catching the first Cow Ray's as it is in both locations. But will need to move on to Rainbow Rubble in order to catch the remaining fish. The maximum number of fish required IF only catching all minimum weight fish is; 30.4 Cow Rays, 20 Flower Hats, 6,336 27 Grass Eels, 20 Rainbow Gliders, and 33 Spotted Goby's. But should be less as will likely catch fish above the min weight. Spotted Goby Fish requires pole level 47. Outside of the Cow Ray Fish, the others prefer Squidy Chum so best to focus on those. Since Cow Ray Fish weigh more, this will skew your percentage completion so that even if you are 90% done, you might really be about 50% done.

Kings Platter

(Difficulty: 6/10)
This plate is fit for a King and Queen any night of the week! Slowly roasted to allow the meat to fall off the boat straight into your taste pallet!

Quest specific tips: Fishing takes place in Rainbow Rubble. The maximum number of fish required IF only catching all minimum weight fish is; 34 Starlin, 54 Blob Blob, 17 Whipray, 10 Red Ribbon, and 3 Merman Shark. The Merman Shark Fish, at Near Extinction, requires a level 70 pole but you can use RLC/FLC with pole level 68. Starlin and Blob Blob are attracted to Sardine Chum, Whipray and Red Ribbon are attracted to Mullet Chum, and Merman Shark is attracted to Squidy Chum.

Trident Sashimi

(Difficulty: 7/10)
The fats and oils in the flesh of this sashimi are made perfect due to the diet of the fish on this reef, they allow the sashimi to melt in your mouth!
Pole Req: Level 84+ Extendarod

Rewards: Unlocks Storyline
Quest specific tips: Fishing takes place at Rainbow Ridge. Goofy Trigger and Snish prefer Squidy Chum, Trevorlly, Capriner, and Trident Shark prefer Sardine Chum. Goofy and Trevorlly can also be found at Rainbow Rubble although you will still need to reach Rainbow Ridge to catch the others. Although you can start this quest at pole level 84, the Trident Shark requires a pole level of 90, but is Fairly Prolific in population so it may dominate your catches.

Quintuple Smoothie

(Difficulty: 8/10)

Rewards: 2 Liquid Gold first time, 1 Liquid Gold afterwards
Quest specific tips: Fishing takes place at Rainbow Ridge. The maximum number of fish required IF only catching all minimum weight fish is: 32 Phorocys Ray, 8 Holiwhale, 32 Huss Shark, 3 Lobsaw Fish, and 1 Armour Shark. Phorocys Ray and Holiwhale prefer Mullet Chum; Huss Shark and Armour Shark prefer Sardine Chum; Lobsaw Fish prefers Squidy Chum. The Armour Shark requires a level 110 pole.

Rewards: 50 Free Love Chum*, 3600 Shells, 22 Deckhand Vouchers, 8 Old Jug of Rum, 8x Quest Boost for 9 hours, 8x Auto-Fish for 24 hours
Quest specific tips: Although the pole level requirements for starting the quest are at 0, the actual pole level needed to catch the fish is much higher. Recommended checking that your pole levels are able to catch the fish as well as checking whether you have access to the areas. Starting the quest in Roperia will cost you Silver instead of Gold. If you want to use the quest boost bonus then fish in the order listed. The Guardian Grabber may be a bottleneck as you have to pair it with extra fishing trips with Danger Destroyer. You can also partner with someone who has access to the areas and poles.
Starting Requirements: 1,000,000 Gold or Silver, 4 Angel Tear, 3 Holy Water, and 2 Rain Water
Special Quests require various resources to start because BetsyLou's new boyfriend on the side is an aspiring wrangler and needs some help getting started with gold and a variety of other delightful resources!
