Description: The Hibernator Fish is near when "zZZzzzZzZzZzz" echoes throughout the deep waters. Although the fish lies dormant for most the year, the best chance for a reel-in is when the fish awakes to refuel its over sized belly.

Hibernator Fish Quests

Holy Shrimp![edit]

Left

  • Difficulty: 5/10
  • Description: HOLY SHRIMP! Look at these crisply crustaceans!
  • Pole Requirements: Level 55 Holy Liberator
  • Unlocks: Rescue Net

  • Quest specific tips: Start out in Lake Freezberg where the Big Mouth and Hibernator fish are most prevalent. You can also catch the Hockum there, but you may have better luck in San Digloo. You can also use Denture Goo if you didn't catch any while fishing for Big Mouth and Hibernators. The Cocktail Shrimp will be the most difficult, but many wranglers have had luck fishing in Glacier Bay with Antifreeze Protein and Boo Juice turned on. If you don't use these resources, the Cocktail Shrimp can also be caught in San Digloo, Lake Freezberg and Snowpeak River, but is Possibly Extinct in all locations. Depending on attractant/repellant use and your luck with the Cocktail Shrimp, this quest could take as few as 75 casts or 100-200 for unlucky wranglers.
  • Catch Requirements: 10 Big Mouth Fish, 8 Hibernator Fish, 6 Hockum Fish, 2 Cocktail Shrimp Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Corn Chowda[edit]

Left

  • Difficulty: 3/10
  • Description: A creamy seafood and corn base chowder that hits the spot after a cold day of ice fishing. You'll be warmed up in minutes!
  • Pole Requirements: Level 35 Evil Obliterator
  • Unlocks: Rack Attack

  • Quest specific tips: Start by fishing in Glacier Bay. Once you've caught all the Ice Ice Miny Fish, move to San Digloo for the Snow Bunny Fish. Like the previous quest, you can use repellents to speed up the process, but the Ice Ice Miny and Snow Bunny are the most common fish in their respective location, so you may want to save the shells. You should be close to finishing the Hibernators by now. If you still have Corn Puffs left, you can choose to use Crazy Pill to attract the Corn Puffs. This quest should take about 50-80 casts, largely depending on how quickly you catch the Corn Puffs.
  • Catch Requirements: 8 Ice Ice Miny Fish, 7 Snow Bunny Fish, 5 Hibernator Fish, 3 Corn Puff Fish ×1.5 when done with friend
