Notes:
Catching an Angelica Fish could reward you with a pair of Snowshoes which are required in order to travel to San Digloo. In order to receive the snow shoes, the catch has to be on a trip led by yourself - they will not be awarded on Crew Trips or Captain Trips, nor will they be rewarded if another resource is found (for example, a Jug of Rum).
How to catch Angelica Fish: Catch Angelica Fish by using a Level 13+ Holy Liberator or Evil Obliterator in Glacier Bay and Lake Freezberg. Requires the skill of the Scuba Fishing License. Attract Angelica Fish by using Angel Tears.
Previously, once you have received your snowshoes, it was not possible to catch another Angelica Fish, unless if your first catch was on a Crew Trip or you were awarded a different resource. This has recently been fixed and it is now possible to catch this fish normally.
Angelica Fish Quests
Seaweed Soup[edit]
- Difficulty: 3/10
- Description: A savory soup packed with nutrients, carbohydrates, and hearty holiness.
- Pole Requirements: Level 35 Holy Liberator
- Unlocks: Resurrection Rack
- Quest specific tips: Freezebite can only be caught in Glacier Bay so you may want to start there and get all those. While fishing for Freezebites, you may pick up some Angelica. Otherwise Angel Tear attractant can be used to finish Angelicas. The Inuit will probably be your last fish. If you are having difficulty with the Inuit Fish, fish at San Digloo with RLC; Antifreeze protein and K9 pheromone activated. This repels the most common fish there; the Icicle & Snow Leopard. Their population is slightly better in Lake Freezberg than in San Digloo. The Snow Bunnies should come fairly easily while fishing in Freezberg (or San Digloo); otherwise you could use Cheap Perfume attractant. This quest will probably take around 100 casts, depending on your luck with the Inuits.
The top 12 fastest times are well under 12 minutes, which means lots of skips/red sharks if you're going for speed. - Catch Requirements: 8 Angelica Fish, 7 Freezbite Fish, 5 Snow Bunny Fish, 2 Inuit Fish ×1.5 when done with friend
Arctic Melt[edit]
- Difficulty: 6/10
- Description: Grilled fish sandwich served on tasty French bread
- Pole Requirements: Level 75 Holy Liberator
- Unlocks: Celestial Transfusion Launcher
- Quest specific tips: Save the Angelica fish for last, since you can use an attractant for them. Stay at Snowpeak River until you have caught all the other fish, then travel to Glacier Bay and use the attractant there.
If using the RLC boost then after catching the Arctiwolf Fish in Snowpeak River, travel to Glacier Bay for the Angelica Fish. Then travel back to Snowpeak River to finish off the Rainbow Trout Fish and Abdo Fish. - Catch Requirements: 11 Arctiwolf Fish, 9 Angelica Fish, 7 Rainbow Trout Fish, 3 Abdo Fish ×1.5 when done with friend
