Fish Parser

I've been trying to make a fish parser. When I say "I", I mean, I have been asking DeepSeek to do it. Here is what it came up with so far:

• You have to save the text in an .html file and open it in your browser.
• Then you copy the HTML source from the fish pages, like viewing source on fish?town=tropocalypse-cay
• Then drop it in the parser and get lots of fish info ready for adding to the wiki.

• I'll be honest, I have no idea about any of this; I myself am a novice Wiki editor, so don't worry...I'm as prone to messing things up as you and you didn't mess things up; it's fine. But for this, as I said, I have zero idea on what to do with it. • Well, this is definitely a lot of work and a lot of text, but I can see why it's easier. But the thing is, adding fish already exists due to being an existing template; you can see on any fish page that there's a template added. So why all this? Or is there something I'm missing? • I tried to make the pictures in Gourd Grasper Quests, Tiki Troller Quests, Castaway Catcher Quests the correct size in Template:QuestInfo, but I didn't get the desired results, so I put it back how it was. I'm not sure if it is because I don't know how to edit templates, or resize images, or both. I'll have a good look at the documentation tonight. • Any with a red name don't exist. Also might want to check the fish for being without a 'Fish' at the end (for example, just Phantom Puffer rather than Phantom Puffer Fish). Personally, I prefer the former, since attaching 'Fish' to every single one is inane at best in a fishing game, but for the sake of link fixtures, it becomes a pain. • I have made all the in game fish links work (for me) with redirects. The in game links may not work for everyone. I noticed that for fish you need to Find the Resource Mix, before you have unlocked the fish the wiki link does not have Fish at the end of the fish name. When unlocked, the usual Fish is tacked on the wiki link.

• That might be a problem; maybe we could report it to Joe and see how that goes, considering the fish page on the Wiki lists only 1300 fish as well, meaning a lot of them are lacking art (since fish numbers are calculated by number of individual pictures); maybe the formula can be modified. Tutorial

• It might be helpful to start writing a tutorial, page. The one on the main page just links to Fandom.
  Having the basic information easily available might encourage more people to contribute. I mean really basic, like starting from making an account.
  When I first started, I would have liked to have had access to a Fish Wrangler Wiki SandBox so I could try stuff out without worrying about breaking stuff.
  I see there is an Adding Fish page, but it is not linked to from a tutorial, just the Roperia Action Center page, whatever that is and I only found it after I had added the last fish.
  I'm tidying Collectible links at the moment, but I think I would like to look at a tutorial next. Do you have any thoughts? Some of it could be pulled from MediaWiki

• Sandbox is not needed since you can create your own; look at my user page: you'll see it leading to a bunch of more pages that I created for myself. You can do the same thing for your user profile here, making new pages inside your profile to make your own personal sand-box. As for the tutorial, I suppose it might be useful; I'm better at prettying up pages rather than creating new ones and adding content to them; you can do as you feel right since pages can be edited/moved at any time by either of us, meaning we can just fix up problems as we go.
  • The Roperia Action Center exists because at that point, there was barely any information added about Roperia, which i why it was (and still is) listed as an urgency of sorts.
• And finally, I'm going piece-by-piece; consolidating pages I edited before I go step-by-step into different pages, starting with fixing the individual island pages, then poles, then chum.
