Creating an Account

Before you can edit, you’ll need a Fish Wrangler Wiki account.

• Click "Create account" in the top-right corner.
• Choose a username and password.
• Verify your email if required.

If you already have an account, make sure you are logged in.

Basic Editing

Editing Existing Pages

To edit an existing page:

1. Navigate to the page you want to edit.
2. Click the "Edit" button at the top.
3. Make your changes in the editor.
4. Add a short summary of your changes in the Summary box.
5. Enter the answer to the question "Who created Fish Wrangler? ___ Faron."
6. Click "Save Changes".

Creating a New Page

To create a new page:

1. Search for the topic you want to create.
2. If it doesn’t exist, click "Create this page".
3. Write your content using proper headings and formatting.
4. Add a short summary of your changes in the Summary box.
5. Enter the answer to the question "Who created Fish Wrangler? ___ Faron."
6. Click "Save Changes".

Basic Formatting

Understanding basic formatting will help you create well-structured pages:

• Links to other pages: Enclose the page name in double square brackets. For example writing [[WaterPort]] will create the link WaterPort to the WaterPort Island page.
• Headings: Write ==Basic Formatting== on its own line to create a heading like the one above.
• Subheadings: Use ===Subheading=== for subsections.
• Bold text: Use '''bold text''' to create bold text.
• Italic text: Use ''italic text'' to create italic text.

Adding Pictures

Uploading Pictures

Before you can add pictures to pages, you need to upload them:

File Upload

1. Click the "Upload file" link in the left sidebar
2. Choose your image file
3. Add a descriptive filename (make a note of this, you will need it later)
4. Include a summary describing the image
5. Click "Upload file"

Adding a Picture to a Page

Once uploaded, add pictures to pages using this syntax:

[[File:filename.jpg]]
