When is an Elite not an Elite

With the advent of pole augments and fish that require poles greater than level 50 coming for all(?) poles, should the classification of the Elite Fish be updated now?
For example, on the Broken Standard, is the Houdini Fish still considered an 'Elite'? Or has the Wanderer Fish taken its place (until such time a level 100 fish comes out of course).

Does it even make sense to still have 'elites' as a classification or are these simply fish that have a certain rarity and a minimum level pole requirement which just happens to be the maximum level of the pole?

Opinion: Wait and see. The game calls them "elite" right now, for example in Liquid Gold description. Are there other places in the game that use the word "elite"? If the definition changes in the game only then change it here as well, until then leave it as is? --Jayberwock 20:04, 29 June 2009 (UTC)

I think that 'Elite' should now only consist of the highest fish for each pole [Poison Oak/Wanderer/etc].

A sub-option would be to include fish of a specific rarity and anything rarer [ex: all of the Possibly Extinct fish, Melted Cubey/Ninja/Woodpecker/etc].

I have orphaned this page from the main Fish page (but not deleted) as the term Elite does appear to have been eradicated from any in-game text. The only reference was in the Liquid Gold description and since that has undergone a transformation in how it works, that now makes no mention of the term. This can always be brought back or as LayzAyzn suggests, a table listing fish rarities may make a more interesting angle. - Jasman 13:56, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
