Sub Fish
Description: The sonar-sensing Submarine Fish launches deadly torpedoes to defend its territory. The fish has maintained an abundant population since prior fishing equipment could not detect movement at deep ocean levels. The Submarine Fish's concealment will be revealed with the Jet Propeller Augment.

How to catch Sub Fish:
Catch Sub Fish by using a Level 57+ Sonar Pole in Blue Crescent. Requires the skill of Secrets of Farvoia. Repel Sub Fish by using Sigfried's 57th.
Requires the Robo Jet Propeller add-on for the Sonar Pulverizer to catch.

Sub Fish Quests
Surf and Turf[edit]
- Difficulty: 8/10
- Description: Combination of the finest meat caught in Farovia. The ultimate dish for a hungry wrangler!
- Pole Requirements: Level 60 Sonar Pulverizer
- Rewards: 1 Liquid Gold first time only
- Quest specific tips: This quest is hard. The Rock Fish is one of the rarest fish in the game (there are many wranglers who have cast over 1500 times with RLC without catching one), and the Chainsaw Marlin Fish is another "Possibly Extinct" fish which may take many casts to collect as well. The Rock Fish prefers Cayenne, but you may not want to use that right from the start due to the lower catch rate compared to Fish Guts, Loaf and Steak. Steak Chum is a good option, since it is the preferred chum of the Chainsaw Marlin, and has a decent catch rate. RLC will still give the overall best results, since you will not have as many miscasts with it and it will still provide a bonus to the rare fish (all 3 rare fish in this quest will get a 50% bonus from RLC). For wranglers not using RLC, you may want to switch to using Cayenne Chum once you finish the other fishes, but note again that the catch rate is only about 75% even with a level 80/80 pole, based on wrangler experience. It is possible to use repellents to slightly increase your chances, the same way as in the previous quest. This quest may take 500-1500+ casts depending on how lucky you are in catching the Rock Fish or whether you have any Liquid Gold that can be harnessed.
One approach to this quest is to not buy the upgrades past level 60 before completing this quest as it will introduce additional fish and possibly increase the number of casts required. However, note that the next quest requires a level 70 pole, and the Sonar Pulverizer levels slowly, so you may want to augment your pole before finishing this quest, in order to start the next one immediately.
This quest can be attempted in Blue Caldera as all the quest fish are available with different population distribution.
