Deadwater Pass[edit]

Description: Deadwater Pass is home to the most corrupt and dangerous breeds in Parribea. With skeletal remains and bloody graffiti around the cave, it is quite obvious that the vicious fish have been fighting for centuries. Wranglers will need to use their dingy boats in order to fit into the small passageway.

Admiral Salute[edit]

  • Description: An appetizer of seafood patties made with the freshest fish in Parribea.
  • Pole Requirements: Level 30 Royal Rescuer
  • Unlocks: Flare Gun

  • Quest specific tips: This quest can be completed in Devil's Cove but the Admiral Fish is easiest to catch in Krakken Rocks. You will probably end up catching them before the bottleneck Royal Guards, and hopefully a Loot fish. If Loot fish is your last though, just use LG to avoid frustration.
  • Catch Requirements: 10 Governess Fish, 9 Royal Guard Fish, 8 Admiral Fish, 1 Loot Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

Left

  • Difficulty: 3/10
  • Description: Spaghetti noodles mixed with a rich Bolognese sauce, topped with spicy meatballs.
  • Pole Requirements: Level 30 Pyratic Plunder
  • Unlocks: Guardian Parrot

  • Quest specific tips: This is a hard quest as it's the last one in Devil's Cove and has some of the rarest fish, two being unique to the region. You'll probably finish off the Governess Fish first unless you get lucky with the Loot fish. Pyratic Scum might be the bottleneck. If you finish the scum and have opened Krakken Rocks, sail there to finish off the Cannon Crabs as their population is Very Rare there. Only LG the Possibly Extinct Loot Fish if you can't buy the next addon or if you want to move on faster.

Third Clue fish in game. Clue #3 of 4: Catch the Parrot (level 10) to unlock this clue for the Skull Key.

Find a Special Fish...
Fish with the Fancy Rifle-pole in Sig's Wasteland and you'll end up shooting down the Parrot Fish, which holds directions from the Ancient Mariner who is in peril.

While common throughout the game, this is the Task fish that helps unlock Devil's Cove once you have over 8 million points & 1 million Good/Evil points as a Clue fish. Message appears in red after unlocking Sig's Wasteland. You don't actually catch him until level 10 later though.

Trivia: Parrots are generally expensive exotic birds & first believed to be owned by the richer pirates, usually reserved for a pirate captain. It's his second set of eyes, as if there's malice in a captain's crew - the bird would likely notice it first and be able to warn a person of incoming danger. Whether this is true or not, they're believed to be kept for their intelligence & talking abilities as well as make good companions that are easy to care for.

  • Difficulty: 9/10
  • Description: Like the taste of blood in your meat? Then you'll love this barely cooked filet mignon.
  • Pole Requirements: Level 75 Royal Rescuer

  • Quest specific tips: This quest will take quite some time without use of Love Chum. The most efficient use of LC will be to start in Deadwater Pass and catch one Black Beardopus using the Love Chum bonus. Then sail to Krakken Rocks and catch all of the fish using regular chum. This will take a number of days. Return to Deadwater Pass and turn on LC. You will get a nice bonus as it has been a number of days since your last LC catch. Because this quest rewards a Liquid Gold you may wish to use one to catch the final Black Beardopus Fish.

An alternative method as the second fish of this quest, Northern Star Fish, requires a level 83 pole is to hold off on starting this quest until after your pole is 80+. Starting off in Krakken Rocks where the Executioner should come quick and with some luck some of the Plank will be caught by time your pole is level 83 to start catching the Northern Star and finishing off the rest of the Plank. Head to Deadwater Pass using the added quest boost (plus optional boost using LC) to catch the remaining bottleneck Black Beardopus Fish.

  • Difficulty: 9/10
  • Description: A true pirate's dish made with highly seasoned fish, eggs, and meat. Aye matey!
  • Pole Requirements: Level 75 Pyratic Plunder

  • Quest specific tips: Like the Northern Star Fish for the good pole, Pyrate Eels won't be able to be caught until Lv 83. At Lv 80, they'll start stealing your chum. Unless using LC, sail to DP if you want to avoid this. Mutinous are rarer in DP but can still be caught there.
  • Catch Requirements: 19 Swashbuckler Fish, 16 Pyrate Eel Fish, 8 Plank Fish, 3 Mutinous Fish ×1.5 when done with friend

A rogues gallery of each Deadwater Pass fish can be found in The Fish of Deadwater Pass.
