Head to Waterport Weather Service

Upon heading there, Wranglers may be informed that the supposed Expert has gone out for lunch and will be back in 45 seconds.

The weather service expert is on lunch break! They'll be back in 45 seconds...

Tropication: Welcome to Waterport Weather Service! Unfortunately, our entire 'expert' staff of one is currently on their sacred lunch break, consisting of a gas station sandwich and questionable coffee. They'll be back in NOW (or xx seconds), assuming they don't get distracted by a particularly interesting weather pattern... or a shiny object.

Wait for Expert

  • Unlocked Chapter 1: Welcome To Tropication - A Summer Escape Gone Wrong!!
  • Fascinating! These co-ordinates led to Tropication - where weather changes faster than a Fish Wrangler bug-fix!
  • Story: Ah, summer vacation - a time for relaxation, warm ocean breezes, and carefree days of fishing in paradise. As Wranglers set sail for Tropication, visions of golden beaches, lazy hammock naps, and piña cod-ladas dance in their heads. But paradise? Yeah...not today. The first sign that something is off comes when the water starts getting cluttered with floating debris...

Journal entry is as follows:

Ah, summer vacation-a time for relaxation, warm ocean breezes, and carefree days of fishing in paradise. As wranglers set sail for Tropication, visions of golden beaches, lazy hammock naps, and piña cod-ladas dance in their heads. But paradise? Yeah... not today. The first sign that something is off comes when the water starts getting cluttered with floating debris-broken barrels, torn sails, and an ominous wooden sign that just says “TURN BACK.” Before you can react, a rogue current pulls you straight into the wreckage of a massive, splintered ship! The next thing you know, you've crashed ashore a place that definitely doesn't look like a vacation resort. Welcome to Tropocalypse Cay, where the seagulls laugh at your misfortune, the wind whispers questionable survival advice, and the locals? Yeah, they've seen this happen before. “This happen to you too?” a grizzled wrangler mutters, tying a fishing line made from frayed rope. “Better get comfy. The ocean decides when you leave.” So much for kicking back and relaxing.

Chapter #2: The Summer Isn't Guaranteed[edit]

Tropication: Your tropical vacation awaits! Time to set sail for the mysterious coordinates revealed by that ancient coin - Tropocalypse Cay!

Travel to Tropocalypse Cay

Tropication: Before tackling these unforgiving waters, you need the right equipment. Choose your survival style: Tiki Troller - The laid-back option for those who want to sip Mai Tais while fishing. Crafted from bamboo and carved tiki wood, it's stylish and questionably functional. Castaway Catcher - The hardcore survivor's choice. Made from driftwood, salvaged ship parts, and raw ingenuity. It's rough, reliable, and probably cursed.

Journal entry is as follows:

So much for kicking back and relaxing. Now, you must earn your way through the islands of Tropication, proving your fishing skills, resourcefulness, and ability to withstand the ridiculousness of the tropics. Can you survive Tropocalypse Cay, chill like a true local in Tropico Cove, party with the wildest fish at Tropadelic Shores, and outsmart the snobs at Tropulence Bay?

Chapter #3: Surviving Tropocalypse – The Lost Chronicles of Sailor Stu[edit]

This will lead to another story prompt on the Home page, asking you to choose between the two poles available in Tropication:

Tropication: Before tackling these unforgiving waters, you need the right equipment. Choose your survival style:

    • Tiki Troller - The laid-back option for those who want to sip Mai Tais while fishing. Crafted from bamboo and carved tiki wood, it's stylish and questionably functional.
    • Castaway Catcher - The hardcore survivor's choice. Made from driftwood, salvaged ship parts and raw ingenuity. It's rough, reliable and probably cursed.

Purchase the Tiki Troller or Castaway Catcher pole:

  • Spent XX Gold, purchased the Tiki Troller/Castaway Catcher.
    • Next: Time to discover the Lost Chronicles of Sailor Stu! The island's legendary castaway awaits in the storm-tossed waters. To learn his first survival lesson, you must catch the Shipwreck Stu I and witness his dramatic tumble from a sinking raft - the least graceful shipwreck in maritime history, but every legend starts somewhere!

Part #1: Shipwrecked & Doomed[edit]

Catch a Shipwreck Stu I Fish.

  • Caught my 1st ever 2.66 kg Shipwreck Stu I, worth 3,045 Points and 3,045 Gold. I used 1 Kelp Paste Chum, have XX left.

Next is a question you have to answer:

  • Next Step: Stu's first survival lesson: some creatures only emerge in darkness! Master the art of night fishing with Zzzloth - the sleepy guardian that teaches patience and timing. Even Stu had to learn these island secrets the hard way!
    • When can you catch night-only fish like Zzzloth?
  • A) While night fishing or using Night Tiki resources.
  • B) By whispering sweet lullabies to your fishing pole.
  • C) Only if you're wearing pajamas and fuzzy slippers.
  • D) When you sacrifice a Red Shark energy drink to the sleep gods.
  • E) By fishing with your eyes closed during the day.
  • F) All of the above (because Fish Wrangler has more bugs than features).

Upon selecting the correct choice (choice A), the next chapter will be unlocked.

Unlocked Chapter#3 - Part #1: Shipwrecked & Doomed! Excellent! You've mastered the art of bothering fish in their sleep! Here's 3 Night Tiki resources. Zzzloth awaits!

If you answer with other options, you'll get another message, and can try again (don't have to catch another Stu I).

Journal entry is as follows:

Stu, lost at sea for years, finally washes up on Tropocalypse Cay-but not gracefully. His tiny, half-sinking raft, held together by sheer luck and questionable knots, collides with a wave, sending him tumbling into the stormy abyss. He clings to his last bottle of rum like a lifeline, while his makeshift sail (aka a torn rag) flaps uselessly in the wind. This was not the heroic return he envisioned. But even in his darkest hour, Shipwreck Stu I emerges from the depths, a symbol of resilience against all odds.

Part #2: Face-Plant into Reality[edit]

Activate the Night Tiki resource and catch a Zzzloth Fish.

Example catch:

Caught my 1st ever 4.65 kg Zzzloth, worth 3,016 points and 3,016 gold. I used 1 Kelp Paste Chum, have xxx left. Used 1 Night Tiki, xx left.

Next is another question where you have to provide an answer.

Next Step: Stu's second survival lesson: tropical weather is as unpredictable as it is powerful! Learn to read the skies and master weather-dependent fishing with Raypalm. The island's ever-changing moods shaped Stu's destiny - now they'll shape yours!

  • How often does weather change in Tropication?
  • A) Every 24 hours in a 3-day cycle
  • B) Every time you blink
  • C) Only when you're not paying attention
  • D) According to Joan of Farovia's mood swings
  • E) When the coconuts unionize and demand better working conditions

Upon selecting the correct choice (choice A), the next chapter will be unlocked.

Unlocked Chapter#3 - Part #1: Shipwrecked & Doomed! Outstanding! You've decoded the island's meteorological madness! Here's a Sun Tiki. Raypalm is level 5 ready!

If you answer with other options, you'll get another message, and can try again (don't have to catch another Zzzloth).

Be sure to deactivate the Night Tiki resource afterwards if you are not going for a streak.

Journal entry as follows:

When the waves finally spit him out onto shore, Stu lands face-first into the sand, dazed, confused, and missing half his dignity. His precious rum is still in hand, though, so priorities are intact. Surrounding him? Driftwood, debris, and a very concerned crab eyeing him like lunch. Tropocalypse Cay is no vacation spot-it's a test of survival. Through sheer determination, Shipwreck Stu II adapts to this harsh new reality.

Part #3: Adapt & Overcome... With Coconuts[edit]

Catch Raypalm Fish (pole level 5) to unlock being able to catch Shipwreck Stu II Fish.

Example catch:

Caught my 1st ever 312 g Raypalm, worth 3,392 points and 3,392 gold. I used 1 Kelp Paste Chum, have 715 left. Used 1 Sun Tiki, 19 left.
Next Step: With survival skills proven, you're ready for Stu's harsh awakening! Catch Shipwreck Stu II to witness his dramatic face-first landing on Tropocalypse Cay and experience the brutal reality check that transformed his desperation into determination. This is where legends are forged!

Catch Shipwreck Stu II Fish (pole level 10) to unlock part 3.

Journal entry as follows:

Stu doesn't just survive-he thrives. He figures out the secrets of the island, discovers that coconuts can be turned into nearly anything (drink, food, weapons, questionable hairstyles), and fully embraces his new lifestyle. He's no longer a castaway-he's the self-proclaimed Coconut King. This transformation is embodied by Shipwreck Stu III, master of island resourcefulness.

Part #4: The Final Form[edit]

Catch Shipwreck Stu III Fish to unlock part 4.

Sample catch:

Caught my 1st ever 9.64 kg Shipwreck Stu III, worth 3,811 points and 3,811 gold. I used 1 Tidepool Mush Chum, have xxx left. Next Step: Time for the grand finale of Stu's transformation! Catch Shipwreck Stu IV to complete his legend - witness his final evolution from shipwrecked disaster to self-proclaimed Coconut King of Tropocalypse Cay. His journey from nothing to island royalty proves that even the worst crashes can become the greatest comebacks!

Journal entry as follows:

Part #4: The Final Form – Island Leader, Coconut King StuThe long years of survival (and possibly fermented coconut juice hallucinations) transform Stu. He emerges at night, draped in island regalia, covered in mysterious markings, and radiating full “wise-old-hermit-who-knows-too-much” energy. With a drink raised high, he embraces his new role as the eccentric, all-knowing survivor of Tropocalypse. He may have lost everything, but he found something even better-absolute island confidence. His final evolution, Shipwreck Stu IV, stands as the ultimate testament to survival and transformation.

With the spirit of love, relaxation, and a few too many coconut drinks in tow, wranglers are ready to turn up the energy and dive into the most electrifying waters yet.
