Having the prefix "fish - " before the fish names for the page names is unnecessary. This makes it difficult to search for them.

I thought it was fine? What part of it is difficult?

I'm probably showing my inexperience here, but I thought 'Fish' was a category & so helped organise to make searching easier? If not, appreciate it if someone could explain where I've got it wrong!

Shoudl have replied earlier...just been hectic lately...All Wiki's no matter what it is about do not use prefixes on the title to show you what it is. Look at Example it is not "Person - Albert Einstein", That is cause we know he is a person and in the categories it says it too. Basically what I am saying is there is no need to have the word Fish in the title of all the fish twice. It is more or less overusing a word.

What Reported said, if you want to make a category, just type "[[Category:Fish]]" and voila, it's in a category. No need to put it into the title! :) Cary Bass * talk 06:13, 31 March 2009 (UTC)

I agree that it's better practice to remove the prefixes. I suspect the only reason it hasn't changed yet is that many pages are involved and links need to be updated. If anyone feels ambitious I say go for it. --Hyperchao 05:16, 8 April 2009 (UTC)

Well I tried to move all the Fish pages to standardize the naming scheme (remove prefix, ensure "Fish" appears at the end) for easier linking, but ran into a throttle for moving pages, so it cannot be done in a reasonable time. Pole pages would be next. Maybe a SysOp can do it. --Hyperchao 03:11, 11 April 2009 (UTC)
