It is possible. I caught it early on in that quest using fish guts I believe. I didn't use RLC on that quest until I only had 2 of the level 73 fish left.

Is it possible to catch this without RLC? I only had 4 RLC and haven't had any luck catching it. It's the only fish I'm missing for the Poison Acorn Brownie quest. 72.193.155.91 05:25, January 12, 2010 (UTC)
I banked over 100 RLC with out catching that fish but i finally got it after banking like 110 RLC. its hard and it takes luck. bank over a week of RLC and good luck. - Frustrated by the Poison Oak
