I cannot seem to catch a flyin fish. I've caught 5 shell fish trying though. Any words of wisdom or suggestions? Thanks.

I take it you are doing the Hungry Hunter Quest (FRP Quest #3).

1. Fish in Fishertonville.
2. You augmented your pole too soon. The Shell Fish is level 57 and much more numerous than the level 50 elite Flyin' Fish. So you will be stuck catching many more of them in order to catch 1 Flyin.
3. If you have the shells to do so, you can try to use repellents (Antifreeze for Cubeys and Sig's Formula 57 for Shells) to get rid of pesky overpopulous fish and thereby increasing your chances to catch the Flyin'.
4. Use RLC, since the Flyin' is an elite fish, you get a small boost to catch them using RLC plus the quest boost. However, if you aren't flush with RLC - then use Fish Guts if you've made it to BC in order to buy that chum. If neither of those two are a possibility - use Steak as it is only preferred by the Vampire and Hate (the first is normally only available in FV around noon/midnight FVT and the latter can't be caught by the FRP).
