Forum:Boat or pole?
I am a shark with a necro pole and a dinghy. I currently have 35,000 in gold and 119,000 points. Moving forward, should I buy the cruiser boat next so I can get to Blue Crescent, or should I invest in the hydro pole instead?

fishing in Blue Crescent other than using the Steam Powered Hydro Pole and above risk damaging the current pole. you can still fish in Blue Crescent with the Necro and a dinghy but there are high chances that both these items will be damaged. what i'll do is to save a little more in gold and get the Steam Powered Hydro Pole and start fishing with it. this gives you the opportunity to level the pole sooner. once you have enough gold, get the Mini Cruiser and start fishing in Blue Crescent. - Mohgui 07:21, 20 July 2009 (UTC)
- I would definitely buy the Hydro Pole first. You will not catch any of the worthwhile fish with the Necro in BC, you will need to level up your Hydro to 15+ to start getting some good catches - so it's best to get the Hydro first, and level it up in FV while collecting the gold to the boat.
