'''NOTE:''' As of Dec 2019 it was noted by players on the forums that usage effects had changed beyond the 3rd bottle and it now no longer adds time for the max 7 bottles of daily use (at the time) as noted in the Questions section of forums thread #118909 (but has since been deleted). This was changed again as per Apr 2020 [https://fish-wrangler.com/fishwrangler/forum/official_changelog?id=119752&page=1&scrollto=post6 Changelog] which increased the max amount to 12 bottles of daily use with effects as shown below.

The Tarpit limit was changed so that starting with the 10th bottle, the time reduced is random between 10-59 seconds, with a 1% chance of getting a 1-60 minute time reduction.<ref name="post90">https://fish-wrangler.com/fishwrangler/forum/questions?id=122484&page=3  post#90 from Joe Faron "Capn' changed it for a 1% chance of a 1min-60min time reduction. The huge 15hr addition was due to a toxic batch of tarpits.. causing bad cases of food poisoning!"</ref> This was so that those who have collected a large number of stouts can empty them out.<ref>https://fish-wrangler.com/fishwrangler/forum/questions?id=122484&page=2 post#45 from Joe Faron "I changed it because I saw some people have so many they'll never be able to use.. but I don't want click-fests.." </ref> After 50 tarpits, you cannot drink anymore and you get a message saying that you'd rather drink tar.<ref name="post104">https://fish-wrangler.com/fishwrangler/forum/questions?id=122484&page=4&t=1633556660&scrollto=post104#post104</ref>
