As requested on the FW discussion boards, this is the 'Whats New' section that lists new content in the wiki in an easy-to-swallow capsule.

Please add to this list whenever a new Fish, Location or Article is added to the wiki. Do not include minor updates such as correcting errors or grammar, population of missing table data or clean-up of any vandalism. Clearly what makes a 'big ticket' update is a subjective call but one I'm sure will get easier through use.

The 'ideal' size of this list is probably 5. I have started this off at 6 as an example of the different types of updates that qualify. This can be pruned after the first update.

When a new update needs to be added, please add it to the top of the list and delete the last entry.

Change Archive?[edit]

Perhaps instead of deleting old updates, we should move it to a section that is not included in the main page. This way we can maintain a timeline of events. --Hyperchao 05:00, 8 April 2009 (UTC)
I did toy with the idea myself, but was unconvinced whether a history of what and when information was added to the wiki would be of any real interest to readers. I know that MarcD was looking at a timeline of Fish Wrangler, which I would imagine would be of real interest to folk, but that is something else entirely.
Unless anyone has a burning desire to have a change archive, we could start with the 'queue' method as proposed. If it later transpires that such a page would be useful, it would be relatively straightforward to knock one up by collating the changes as extracted from the hisory of the Whats New page itself.
