Summary 1

Ruled with an iron fist from the city of Santa Francesca by Dictator Danzic, the land of Roperia was lost afer the Great Faropean War which led to significant hostilities and the consequential division of the land of Faropea into two parts, Farovia and Roperia.

Characterized as the complete opposite of Farovia ever since Danzic took the throne, Roperia is filled with dense, crumbling urban areas filled with corrupt public officials and apathetic citizens, heavy industrialization with extreme pollution and unsustainable practices in the outlying and remote islands, urbanization and high population density with almost no limits and a significant amount of corruption, the consequence of which has led to the utter destruction of the biodiversity and ecology of the entire region of Roperia along with an apathetic population for whom it's simply a way of life. The Spirit Of The Sea, now undivided from Farovia, is desperate to find the most capable Wranglers to save the land of Roperia and, by extension, the entire Faropea, from the consequences of Danzic's policies and rules.

Farovians don't talk about Roperia; as Wranglers wonder why, Earl tells them about the Great Faropean War which led to significant hostilities and the consequential division of the land of Faropea into two parts, Farovia and Roperia. Marred by silence and division on both sides by natives and veterans alike, recent efforts at diplomacy have finally caused Dictator Danzic, the ruler of Roperia, to allow a limited amount of migration of people between Farovia and Roperia using their respective Shuttle Services (that reportedly made enough profits in the first month alone to crash the stock markets of both regions).

Roperia is characterized as the complete opposite of Farovia ever since Danzic took the throne, ruling with an iron fist from the city of Santa Francesca. Danzic's policies have led to heavy industrialization, urbanization and high population density with almost no limits and a significant amount of corruption, the consequence of which has led to the utter destruction of the biodiversity and ecology of the entire region of Roperia along with an apathetic population for whom it's simply a way of life. The Roperian Sea is a heavily polluted body of water centred around Santa Francesca, from where the highly corrupt and evil Dictator Danzic rules the entirety of Roperia, much to the pain and sadness of the Spirit Of The Sea. Most of the immediate Roperian Sea and Santa Francesca itself (where the Wranglers first land) is highly devastated and polluted by the apathetic and uncaring Roperians who treat the dirty and filthy life as their own even as they suffer the significantly worse conditions while making their ends meet under the rule of Danzic. Safe to say, the Roperian Sea is practically the heart of most activity in Roperia and the entire region is also served by the 'Wave Bar & Grill' restaurant, owned by Ruby Mae (the wife of Earl's half-brother Franken, lost long ago and now mutated from the effects of Asteroid Reef).

Upon arriving in Roperia, Wranglers will be faced with he harsh conditions of Santa Francesca along with the harsher rule of Dictator Danzic, far from the laid-back and comfortable environment of Farovia itself. Barely escaping from Danzic's clutches with the help of the Spirit Of The Sea, they will be enlisted by her as she begs for their help in a last-ditch effort to clean up and restore the heavily damaged ecology and environments of Roperia. While the Spirit guides Wranglers to survive the mean and tough streets of Santa Francesca, they will be required to learn the skills native to Roperia and using the Roperian poles and chum to fish. From there onwards, Wranglers will be guided by the Spirit to further their cleaning efforts and rehabilitating many of the fishes along with restoring the quality of the environment throughout Roperia as they progress through the islands all the way up to Helvetica.

The crumbling city of Santa Francesca is home to plenty of lowlifes, from pests to petty thieves to corrupt bureaucrats; along with an apathetic population throughout the area to whom everything dirty and corrupt is simply a way of life. All of this led to a significant destruction of the Roperian ecology and environment, with the worst damage done by Santa Francesca and extending to the surrounding islands, picked clean and rendered inhospitable by corrupt industries and corporations looking for the best deals without any concern for consequences while dumping their waste in the air and sea with reckless abandon.

The Roperian Sea, now exceedingly polluted and even poisonous at times thanks to the policies and actions of Danzic's government, has deeply troubled and hurt the Spirit Of The Sea. Desperate to heal the land, the Spirit has been searching for Wranglers and other capable people sympathetic to her plight. As Santa Francesca remains the one and only destination for Wranglers newly travelling from Farovia, the Spirit watches out throughout the city for any lost Wranglers she finds and saves them, hoping to find one willing to take up the task of saving the Roperian Sea and, by extension, the whole of Roperia.
